Cool... there's this random guy named Dean from BC who reads my Blog. Yay.

Yay. Four down, one to go. It's really weird watching the year unravel before your eyes. It's disappointing but somehow it seems as if time is kinda unwisely managed in these last few days with people. Not to say that I don't enjoy that company, but somehow sometimes spending a few hours doing nothing... wish we could use that time to do something more meaningful with one another. We did have a fun endeavour though... after some wings we dropped off Ada Su at Delaware. After opening the car door for her to get out, a few of us "kidnapped" her and threw her in the back of Victor's Camry and drove for a minute or so. Yeah... that was quite funny... after that we imitated her for the next thirty minutes... 4 guys doing everything she'd do and it really pissed her off. Hahah.

Things are starting to shape for me this summer. I got a few possible interviews with TD. Oh... I guess I'll have to swear alligence with TD instead of Scotiabank. I have also a slightly clearer vision as to what the Lord wants for ACF this summer. Something along the lines of diving deeper into the "mystical" part of christianity... like fasting, meditation, silence... it'll be really really hard to do it without counselors so I'm hoping that will really come through.

The boys (NTCBC) will hopefully be up this weekend to help Vicky and Albert move out. 15 person van! ROADTRIP!!! (grrr but I still have an exam on Monday. Booooooooo)

Back to studying. I mean... gotta starT!!!

It's 10:23am. I'm lounging in Vicky's room, why her and her roommate are still sleepin in... what lazy bums. Hahahah. Finished my 4th exam this morning!!! Yay... only one left!!! Looks like this week will be spent in looking for a job this summer. Well summer looks a bit interesting as to what can be done. ACF is gonna continue into the summer for the first year, and hopefully, actually, in faith I believe God will do his work in the fellowship. It'll be interesting though, definitely, with perhaps only a handful of people opposed to a group of 50 in the year. Maybe it'll be a training ground for new leaders, maybe it'll be a revival for others. Hmmm... it'll be definitely a different experience. Transportation will be a bit rough for people to get around here in London, especially how we're so used to the bus pass we have all year long and so most of us live far apart from one another. We'll see how things go. Maybe a lil retreat, maybe a short mission, maybe...

Two down! Three to Go!!! I was studying Mandarin so hard last night that I was dreaming characters. So sad. But it went pretty good. Can't believe I forgot my favourite word. I never recognize it in mandarin. In Cantonese, I love saying this when I finish a meal:

"SHOO FOOK SAI!!!" but in mandarin it's "shu fu". Man. Forgot that. In addition to my limited cantonese, here are my top 3 favourite words.

3. Woo Deep (Butterfly)
2. Dai Bun Jurng (Elephant)
1. Aiya!!! See ah! (Dang!!! Crapped!)

I dunno why I like those words. They just seem to melt in my mouth or bring some deeper emotion that's buried somewhere. Somewhere.

I've been learning about provision in the last few days, reading this book called "By a Different Drum : An autobiography by Dr. Pauline Hamilton" You've probably never heard of it, but I got it for the ACF grad gift. It's a wonderful story, about a Med student from the 50s who was pretty much kicked out of her program because of Tuberculosis, and pretty much almost killed herself. But the Lord never let that happen and she ended up going to China for missions. Just reading how the Lord had this plan all in the palm of his hand all along was a real blessings and reminder of how he is in control when we have no clue what's going on. Cool... such a cool story.

Yay! So good. Last night I had a wonderful time praising the Lord in my own room. After listening to "God is Great" and "Jesus my best friend" over and over again with my CD and jumping up and down singing and praising, I went to sleep so relieved of the pressure that had been lingering on my back this whole week. How crazy is that...

This morning walking to the interview building in my suit, holding a half broken umbrella and trying not to get wet, I could only but praise the Lord for his faithfulness up to the moment. I had the wonderful words of "In Christ Alone" running through my head, singing out loud (there wasn't anyone walking around at 10:00am on a saturday morning). I walked into that interview with this sense of peace that to this moment I can't explain. Praise the Lord. All my anxieties were lifted. All my concerns were dealt with. I spoke as if I had nothing to worry about, that my future was sealed in Christ anyways. Yay. We'll have to see in July... such a long wait but hopefully... hopefully. Western's dental school is a gem! They have this wonderful renovated children's ward, with wonderful PURPLE chairs (Purple and Proud: Western). Such wonderful people. I really wanna stay now. But like I said... we'll just have to wait and see.

Yay. Hey baby Jess has a blog site now! go visit it. Click here to see the Medicine Man. HAHAHAHAHAHA Jokes.

As I tuck myself to sleep, trying to remember all the things I need to do, all the things I need to say, I have to remind myself: "For I know the plans I have for You".

No matter how much I prepare, no matter how much I practice answering questions, no matter how much I try to impress them tomorrow morning, it'll be about God's decision... and that it is in His hands, as it has been in the very beginning. What a weird concept to get your head around. This experience is more challenging than I thought possible. Now Faith... Faith... actions must follow faith!

My last dental interview. Western. 10:45am.

Oooh boy the weather is sunny... so warm... so nice... so rollerbladable... so frisbeeable. But guess what? Isn't the library much more comfortable? I mean, where do you get a chance to open your books and not be blinded by the reflections of UV rays off your white pages? Where there is no breeze at all to blow away your place in your book, or the nice chirping sounds of birds to distract your intense studying?

I'm trying... as you can see... I'm trying not to go insane. It's nice being here in Weldon library... honestly. The rest of ACF lives here now. I was blessed to satisfy my hunger with some yummy cinnabon. It's definitely very hard to eat secretly, especially with a knife. Plastic ones bend to easily. Yay. Only a few more days to my first exam. Then I'll understand what it feels like to die, again. Then expect my next one in a few days after that.

Job search isn't going as great as planned. Ooh what a bad time of the year... studying, looking for a job, dental interviews, and on top of that you still have to cook. Jaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Yay... one thing I'm lookin forward to though... in 45 mins we're having our men's cell group final dinner at the Wave, hopefully catch the game that we'll win tonight... GO RAPTORS. You'll die in first round but hey, THAT's OKAY. GO YOU MONKEYS.

Man. I miss Steve Wong. Everytime reading his blog, I wonder what it would be like if he was still here. That boy has not lost touch with people nor has he lost his heart here either. Though it's definitely weird seeing his brother around Periodicals A all the time and saying stuff like "WASSUP" and yo how are you doing... what u working on... cool earphones... it's not the same. He's like half his size, but like Steve he's a lady's man. Hahaha.

Check his blog. He's still survivin in Germany. :)

Wow... it's been a week since my last post.

Man... dentistry interview went so... aarggggg.... not only was I barely on time because the DVP was closed and traffic was a bum, I wasn't even in the right mindset.

"Name us a time in which you were dishonest and what did you do about it?" (What I thought they said)

So I rambled on for about 5 minutes about this thing I had done at the beginning of the year... then they stopped me.

"Let me repeat the question. Name us a time in which you witnessed dishonesty and what did you do about it?"

Argg... I don't think they were too pleased in having to repeat 3 of 7 questions over because I wasn't answering them right. Jeee... I thess there is such thing as a WRONG answer. Poo.

Well... with that done and away with, I guess my chances at UT are like close to none. Yay. Maybe I'll learn this time for my interview on Saturday with Western. :P

Yesterday was ACF year end banquet. A night filled with both sorrow, tears, joy and laughter, I must admit that every year it seems to get more and more special, as more and more people come and go. Oh yeah... finally... boys to girls ratio of ACF is almost 1:3!!! Go boys. The guys at Waterloo are probably kicking themselves. Hahaha.

Jeee... exams begin... REALLY soon. NO! Good luck everyone! It's ALMOST SUMMER!!! I can almost feel it through the windchill and frozen patches of ground...

Booo... back in school.... they don't seem to respect the fact that Jesus rose on this day, so they make us come to school... in fact Western doesn't respect that we have to go to church on Sundays so they go ahead and schedule examinations on Sunday mornings... booo....

Had a very interesting weekend... gotta admit that going back to TO has it's share of "issues"... they used to be parental, but praise the Lord that he has healed that area in my life. Dunno, returning to your so called "home church" is always difficult. Everyone of us who goes away for school seems to always face this dilemna. What on earth is considered our home now? Specially going back to NTCBC, seeing a huge building and pretty much accidentally walking into offices that were once staircases, and seeing a multitude of people you don't recognize b/c you don't even know them... It's really hard distinguishing what is discouraging and what is worth prayin for.

I'm really glad that the church is still functioning, with the spirit moving in areas that I can "see". We had service on Friday night, and it being the first time we ever had mandarin, cantonese and english, none of us expected the service to last 3 hours. Interestingly enough, it didn't seem to bother anyone, because honestly for the first time it seemed as if the Holy Spirit was moving in the congregation. I heard this interesting stat... it was estimated that if the Holy Spirit was to leave the church, the church would go on with 80% of its activities? That's quite a sad thing to say, and quite a radical thing to say as well. I can't help but wonder what areas of our church have become so institutionalized or programmed that we do them all without God's guidance?

But as I must say, there are still wonderful things going on. Please pray for a sister Sandra Won. This girl, who only by her wonderful testimonial emails from Guelph has pretty much confirmed in my heart that she is ready and definitely filled with the Spirit to go to Kenya for Vetenarian missions. So cool. I remember how detached I was from the church that when I went to North Carolina I didn't even know how to share my requests nor actually feeling the desire to... but Sandra has been so responsible up to this point. Go Sandra! Gah (some Holy) Yow!!!

Something else interesting happened... my mom wanted a dog last week. Hahaha... that's so radical, she used to be so uptight about pets and what not, but now she wants a dog? So cool. I'm so thankful, not because that she wants a dog, but that the kid in her is starting to show after all these years. Praise the Lord.

Oh yeah, quite an interesting difference between London and Toronto. At McDonalds, when lining up for food (CHARITA!) it takes 30 minutes in Toronto. It takes 2 in London. And for that reason, I will be staying in London this summer. Ahhh... actually not only that reason alone. Maybe work at Compusmart? Wanna PDA? Heeeeeee I'm such a geek.

A question for you all... if you were to have a pig as a pet, like a potbellied one, what would you do with it? I mean like with my Chinchilla I just let it run around and eat raisins... but with a pig? Hmmm.. lap churng... hahah... question for ya.

Ahhh!!! U of T interview this Saturday!
