How incredibly fast the summer has flown by. I sit and ponder, my unemployed mind, about the school year ahead, the 40 hrs + of school a week, Asian Christian Fellowship, my friends back at home, my friends at London, and all I can say is... Life is meant living for. I am so thankful, for a blessed summer of rest, purpose, challenges, victories, lessons, and humility.
I am honoured and excited to share with you my very first shots "on the job". This was a concert held by my old church buddy Justis Kao, a talented and gifted Christian who has been pursuing music studies at Berkley in Boston. This was his second concert, held at Markham Theatre. Though I could describe the power and excitement of the concert, I feel that pictures capture moments far better than my words ever could.
It's 12:00pm. Stage managers begin setting up the area. Justis' Grand remains peaceful and motionless as time flashes by.
It's 4:00pm. Justis leads in rehearsal. Sporting his barefeet, typical Adidas shirt and jeans, he warms up in front of a warm blue backlight.
Rehearsal continues. The warm intense hue of orange overcasts the intensity of the concentration of Justis as he reaches the climax of his song.
It's 6:55pm. We just finished gathering the whole company and crew together for one final time of prayer. Judy walks in with hot tickets, though bent from moistness of her hands.
It's 8:30pm. The opening acts have played and out comes Justis with his backup singers.
It's 10:00pm, and the audience has just lept to its feet in an encore performance. The stage is now filled with haze and intense lights as the concert comes to a close.
It's 10:13pm. The curtains have closed. The lights have been turned off. All that remains is the drummer, never refusing to stop his rhythm.

Above: This is the look of fresh. :)
Today we had the wonder and honour in sharing in the "dunking" of our good buddy Dr. Mark. This was definitely a different experience watching a baptism be carried out in someone's backyard swimming pool. I actually thought it was better, since normally baptisms are carried out during an Easter Service or Christmas Service with an agenda and remainder of service to complete.
Above: Sam and Cal bring along with them their fan gear.
Testimony after testimony of changed lives were repeated over and over again, each with a very common theme... that the Lord had captured them. Praise God! The rest of the pictures can be found in the photo gallery .
Above: Alison, Sam, Cheryl, Elizabeth, Cal and Shirley all support with signs saying: Yay Mark! and DUNK da DOCTOR.
