Oh so sad... the last time I'll be on the worship team for Nazarene. You know, it's such a blessing and freedom to know that the people on your worship team truly love the Lord and want to go on with Him... I have no preoccupations about pride, or alterior motives in them... and it frees me and the congregation to worship so freely! What a blesssssing!!!

26 good years.
As I went back home to Toronto this past Easter weekend, I knew something would be different. I knew that there were some things I needed to make clear to others, clear to myself, and clear to the one I love. It was also the last time I would officially walk into North Toronto Chinese Baptist Church as a member. Though I anticipated this day to arrive, nothing really prepared me for the response I would receive in my heart. Disclosing this decision to only a handful of people, I sat and pondered, reflecting on all the Lord had done. I was raised in this church, the Lord had given me some really good DHS buddies, I got to be the lead role in "O Me O My O Nehemiah", got involved in many Youth Rally events, was mentored by Ben Li, got to be coach of Soldiers 2... and yet the Lord is calling me to go on. I remember a bible study from Sunday nights, when the apostle Paul was saying, "All things gain, I count as loss, for the sake of knowing Him"... even things gain... even good things, even the past, even the wonderful memories... but I know that I must be pressing onwards to the higher calling.
I used to remember hearing about people who left my home church, and I was always bitter to their decision thinking they were just selfish and didn't want to stick around and help out, to give a hand... so quick to quit before giving it a shot. But we must ALWAYS remember... the work of the Lord is His... He will provide those who are called and dedicated to the service. As of now, I don't have any idea where my search will begin. I do know that the Lord will provide abundantly, as He has done in the past.
Goodbye, NTCBC, thank you for loving, cherishing, uplifting me all these 26 years.

AHHHH what a wonderful weekend. The LORD IS SO GOOD AND SO PRECIOUS! What a wonderful way to finish off my 7 years here at Western. It started off on Friday, with a glorious worship practice time in which a beautiful vision the Lord gave to me for ACF, and how it was manifested (just a hint of it) this weekend. On Friday night, we had a glorious time of worship, at first I was really discouraged to see only 3 people at 9:00 (the time it was supposed to start), 4 people by 10:00, but by 11:00 there were about 8 of us, and we went on until 1:00am. Wow... what a glorious time!!! Prayer, worship, sharing... WOW... SO GOOD.
And then... Saturday came along, and what a glorious time that was! Banquet was awesome. There were alot of people (118 to be exact), the place was beautiful. The Lord really surpassed all my expectations. I have had the blessing in getting to know a bunch of the frosh and 2nd years this year as I wasn't around in ACF much last year. It has been fun... and then sharing in all the hugs, pictures, memories, moments... and sharing that moment right then and there left me speechless. My best banquet ever!!!! images can be found on http://jessewong.myphotoalbum.com
