Hey Jesse, neat, I've been thinking about going there, but I've heard mixed reviews on the service. Would you have paid for it yourself for a special occasion?
and were you full after it all? btw, could you update the link you have of mine, to my latest site http://onelife.voxtropolis.com? Thanks dude.
Hey Lon. The food there was great! The service, well you can't understand what the waiters are saying, they either have an extremely potent french or chinese accent! As for being filled, we were very VERY full at the end. That's what happens when you eat over a period of 2 hours. We couldn't finish our desserts.
Would I have paid it for myself? Definitely. I have already recommended this place to everyone here in Buffalo, and they all want to drive to Toronto just for this.
Awesome shots Jess! You must be happy with the camera!
Now I know another restaurant to take Chris to! Thanks! rob

?!!?! Er? Caleb, Glendon? Am I looking at ACF Winter Retreat 2006? Hahaha ----- Hey Jesse! You were talked about lots again this weekend :D Only good things, really! No lies! :) hahah .. sadly (or happily! :p) you ARE looking at Winter Retreat 2007! Caleb hasn't been able to let go at all and has been back at ACF at least 4 times (I think) so far this year! Glendon drove on up from Toronto after he finished work for the week also! I don't have any pictures, but even Dave Lo came up! Lots of old folks that just can't bear to leave :p Glendon and Caleb had the chance to help lead the fellowship on Saturday morning. And Caleb even had a hand in Saturday night's response -- how many years/retreats is THAT in a row?! :p The food pictures look amazing! Still using the Pentax and Sigma? And they let you bring a camera in and snap shots at a fancy restaurant? Wow. I'll do that next time :p Take care, C Luk P.S. Do you do any post-processing to your pictures, or is everything you post on myphotoalbum, etc all straight from camera?
Hey Chris. Yeah, looking at the pictures of Winter Retreat brought back wonderful memories of the Lord moving among us eager children. Looks like you took over photo coverage of ACF! Good stuff. Nikon will do you well!
I ended up selling my Pentax ist DS to get a .... Pentax K100D! hahaha. I am still using my Pentax/Sigma setup, but soon I will be changing my Sigma 24-70 f2.8 to something else. It weights 715g, more than my camera at the moment, so I get wrist fatigue. Probably switching to a 18-50mm f2.8 Sigma or 17-50mm 2.8 when tamron makes it available for Pentax.
Hey Jesse,
Well, once Cho left, someone has to take over for sheer volume of insane pictures :p Actually, I think Theresa has that covered :p Darn, I knew I was setting myself up for this, but I totally need a SB-800 to start getting some better portrait shots .. Wow .. that must feel so odd to be almost a whole kilogram heavier on the front-side of your camera .. you sure like your wide angle shots, eh? Must be nice to have a fast lens like a f/2.8! I only have this f/3.5-5.6 lens so far! I've realized how much I'm starting to become you :p It ends up that I've become a portrait shooting guy (who's unable to shoot nice landscapes and buildings and loves photographing at concerts even though it's prohibited :p). Darn! hahah :p Woop, gotta go! See you later dude!
hey jesse! On a completely related topic, I found something that will bring back some memories of second year. It's an instructional video of "How to Dance at a Rave". Hopefully you'll read this posting and get a chance to open the following link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SItPGEsjLQ&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Efazed%2Eorg%2Fvideo%2F%3Fid%3D619
